State and County bail bonds are the most common type of bail bond. These are the bail bonds most people inquire about. In a court of law, the defendant charged with a criminal offense is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Anyone who is accused of a crime may post bail to retain his/her freedom until their case is adjudicated by the court.
These types of bail bonds are also know as court bonds, appearance bonds, bail bonds, and probably a few other name. Simply put these are the bail bonds that 99% of all Florida Bondsman write.
When wanting to post a State/County bail bond, they must be posted in the county that the bail bondsman is arrested then. A bail bondsman that is doing business in Orange county florida can not post bail in Dade county florida if their business is not registered there. In this case, a bail bond may be able to be transferred to dade county by Dade county registered bondsman. A transfer fee may be applied in this type of case. Most bail bondsman are registered in the county they are doing business in and the few surrounding counties around them.

What are bail bondsman Important? Bail Bondsman provide a service which allows for an arrestee to be released from jail while awaiting his/her court date. Once released, the defendant is placed in the custody of both the bondsman and the Indemnitor. If the bail industry did not exist, either their would be mass overcrowding in our jail system and/or a high percentage of "failure to appear's" which simply means the defendant is not showing up for their court dates. Having a bail bondsman and the industry as a whole eliminates both of these things, putting the responsibility into private business where two parties will be held financially responsible.
