Can I Still post a Bail Bond if I am not Local to the Area?
Yes. These days, posting a bail bond does necessarily require you to come down to the bail bonds office go through the procedures. With the use of a credit card and a fax machine, much of the information can be sent via fax or email. This is what we call our "Bail-by-Phone" service. When calling our office to post a bail bond with this service, it is helpful to have a fax number ready. Most office supply stores offer fax service if you do not have one at your home or office.
When posting non local bail bonds, even though you do not have to be present, you are probably going to want to make travel arrangements for the defendant you are bonding out. We will be happy to help you with this if you so choose.
Once the bail bond is posted and the defendant is released, you have the option of letting us know if you would like to receive the court notices along with the defendant. Many time, the indemnitor's on the contract want to know when the defendant is required to be in court as they would be responsible for a bail bond forfeiture.
If you have any more question or concerns about posting a bail bond long distance, please all our offices and we can further discuss the process.
