How Long does the Bail Bond Process Take?
The time it takes to complete the process all depends on the county, if the county corrections center is backed up, and/or countless other sinerios To sum it up, the bail bond process take between 2 and 8 hours. Below are the necessary steps that both you and our company must take to get the process going.

From the Call to Bail-Florida to the time we post the bail bond (1 hour). First we need to get the call from you with some information about the defendant. Next, we will have to call the jail county jail where the arrestee is being detained to confirm the bond amounts and the charges. It is important the the defendant is fully booked in just in case there are any outstanding warrants that the defendant and you may not know about. Some outstanding warrants may require the defendant to stay in jail. Once we have confirmed the bonds and know the the defendant is bondable, we need to start the bail bond forms. These forms can either be faxed to you or downloaded off of our website. Depending on the defendant information, the indemnitor's information, and the severity of the crime, our agency may ask for some form of collateral. Some cases may not require any collateral except the Indemnity agreement and promissory note. Once we receive all of the information back to our offices and all premiums and collateral has been properly filed, we can post the bond.

The next step is to get the bail bond into the county jail so they can start the processing. During the time of you preparing the required forms, we have already called the jail and have informed them that we are going to be posting bond for that defendant. We do this so that the jail knows that that person is coming out that day. This communication may help speed the process a little. If the defendant is all booked, the releasing process usually take between 1 and 8 hours. Again, this all depends on the jail and whether or not they are crowded. Once the bond is posted, we should have a better idea on the releasing time.
Note: No bail bond agency in the state of Florida can pinpoint a time of releasing. The bondsman does not decide this.
